There’s no truth to the rumor that he will be a regular for the popular dance show “Shall We dance?”… despite the success that he got, Ronald is here to stay, playing pro ball that is… A player with boundless energy… went from the most hated player in the league to an instant fan favorite… that’s what happens when you get traded to the league’s most popular team… love him or hate him… he is a pesky defender on the floor and draws a lot of fouls, often getting the goat of offensive players (ask Macmac Cardona)… a great leaper… will explode to the hole… he is also a fine offensive player but gets out of control at times… no one questions his heart and toughness… he is a player who is not afraid to take the last shot of the game… Drafted 16th overall in the 2003 PBA Draft by Shell out of the University of the East… traded to Fedex in 2005 for a pair of sneakers… he was a terrific fit with the Express for his exciting brand of game but top Fedex brass felt he did not deserve a roster spot because they don’t play defense which was Tubid’s strongest suit… traded to Ginebra for 2007 and 2008 second round draft picks, as well as a 2009 first round draft pick.
