Chua due for Hyper-Hoops
FILIPINO coach AlFrancis Chua will arrive in Bahrain today to conduct the Hyper-Hoops Youth Winter Basketball Clinic starting on Friday at the Muharraq Gym.
Chua, a multi-awarded coach, will be assisted by Bonnie Tan in running this four-day event, to be organised by the Filipino Club with the support of the Philippine Embassy.
Chua will be brought to the island by Gulf Air, the official carrier sponsor of the event. He will then be accommodated at the classy and cozy Pars International Hotel, the official hotel sponsors.
Chua belongs to the circle of the Philippines' most respected sportsmen in the field of basketball.
His career highlights include, among others, a grand slam coach in the Philippine Basketball League in 1995, being awarded the much-coveted title Coach of the Year for three consecutive years from 1995 to 1997, and coaching the All Start Team for two consecutive years.
This programme is open to all the youth ages eight to 18, male or female of any nationality. Registration is now on a first come-first serve basis. Registration form is available at McDonalds Manama Branch, Bahrain Financing Company in Manama, Adliya, Exhibition, Gudaibiya and Bahrain Mall Branch.
