Spent the whole of the Philippine Cup on the injury list… without Mark Caguioa and Jayjay Helterbrand in the Fiesta Cup, he made a strong showing… combo guard who made a successful transition to the point guard spot… his name has been synonymous to end game heroics… he’s called the “Slasher” because that is his trademark… slashing drives and outside shooting are just some of his offensive repertoire… dangerous player on the break and can be difficult to stop when he makes some of those patented lane incursions… Drafted 2nd overall in the 1996 PBA Draft by Purefoods out of Sebastian College… traded to Alaska the following season along with Bryant Punzalan for Cris Bolado… Signed as a free agent back with Purefoods in 2003, then was traded as part of a multiple player deal involving Jun Limpot and Andy Seigle.
