After just one year with the Dragons, was sent immediately packing to the Alaska Aces for Nic Belasco... the Alaska coaching staff has always thought highly of Cabatu ever since his amateur days... He's a second generation player… father is former PBA player Sonny Cabatu, you know Sonny – 2-time PABL MVP, played 12 seasons in the league earning rep as one of the league’s most underrated players of all time… yes, that Sonny… also, did I forget to mention that his dad was the 1st overall pick in the first PBA draft in 1985!... Junjun is already a very gifted offensive player… can shoot from the outside and bang in the post, can handle the ball and hits his free throws (unlike dad)… he’s the complete package… loves to play in the clutch and was many times a pivotal player in the stretch… now, if only he can play defense like his dad… one of 3 players directly elevated by Welcoat from their amateur team.
