Papa Jun proved that he is no longer a jinx in the PBA... prior to the Giants' successful championship campaign in the 2005-06 Philippine Cup, Jun never won a PBA championship in his previous stints with Sta. Lucia and Brgy Ginebra... nicknamed "The Main Man" because he was once upon a time the primary offensive weapon of the Sta. Lucia Realtors... drafted first overall in the 1993 PBA draft by Sta Lucia... traded to Ginebra in 2000 for center Marlou Aquino... after four seasons with the Gin Kings, he was traded to Purefoods in exchange for Andy Seigle... found home at Purefoods as Kerby's primary backup and sometimes starter at small forward... incredible range for a big man... could hit up to the three point range... can work in the low post where he can uitilize his plethora of inside moves to throw off a defender... played varsity ball for the DLSU Green Archers and was responsible for many of the schools UAAP crowns in the early 90s... multi-awarded player in the amateurs... member of various RP teams...
