The Giants scored big in the 2005 PBA draft after grabbing the 6'4" College of St. Benilde standout with the 4th overall selection but the adulations and praises would have to be scrapped off for the moment as we await his recovery from an ACL injury a year ago... strong low post scorer with a deft touch from the outside... a natural power forward, Salvador played out of position for the center-starved Purefoods Chunkee Giants... very strong rebounder... played for the Montana Jewels in the PBL winning MVP honors prior to his climb to the pros... His impressive play in the PBL earned him a spot with the national team in the Jones Cup... considered an heir apparent to Purefoods legend Alvin Patrimonio because of their game... played five games for the Davao Eagles in the MBA before the league folded up in 2002.
