You have more luck seeing a zebra without stripes than seeing Jay in action… caught everyone offguard by being named as one of three amateur players to be directly elevated by Welcoat… everybody expected it would be Ronjay Enrile… the Dragons’ top brass figured that Jay has the better odds of getting drafted and snatched by other teams compared to Ronjay… a workhorse in the shaded lane, Jay is a work in progress… he still has to develop a go-to move inside the paint but with his young age, the Dragons can wait for him to develop… 2005 NCAA MVP, which was special because he won it over stars like Jason Castro and Gabby Espinas, and Boyet Bautista, Aaron Aban and Mark Andaya.
