Has exceeded expectations… the Dragons didn’t expect Jay-R to contribute immediately, but he did it and at times looked like a veteran out there… didn’t play like a rookie, didn’t act like it, didn’t play like it… future superstar… sky is the limit to his potential… already one of the league’s top rebounders and shotblockers… former UP star is already better than Kerby Raymundo at age 23… can you imagine what he can do at age 26?... one of three amateurs directly elevated by the Dragons from their amateur team… tried to enter the draft in 2005 as a special case, citing financial problems but the PBA spurned him, said it aint gonna happen... may have turned out better… was more confident in his last PBL conference, churning out averages of 7.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg and 1.2 bpg for Rain or Shine.
