There were great expectations for Boyet Bautista after a successful amateur career and being picked 9th overalll in the 2006 PBA draft but he spent most of the time on Coach Ryan Gregorio's doghouse as the Giants' 3rd string point guard... never got the opportunity he wanted, played just 7 games, all on limited minutes... Could be a blessing in disguise since he will have the benefit of a whole year to study the team's intricate plays... One of the most talented point guards to come out of the amateur ranks this decade... this kid can play and despite his short stature, he can make big plays down the stretch and is a proven winner... could be a more talented Wynne Arboleda... Baustista's magnificent playmaking skills brought the Knights two NCAA titles (2003 and 2005)... he was also instrumental in Toyota Otis' runner up finish in the PBL in 2006... hopes he could finally have a big break in the new season.
