Spring sa Penang cagefest

GOOD LUCK- Binati ni NBC president Nathaniel “Tac” Padilla ang NBC-Spring Cooking Oil team member EJ Feihl na sana ay palarin sa paglisan ngayon ng RP squad patungong Malaysia para lumahok sa Penang Chief Minister –Asian basketball invitationals. Nasa larawan din ang mga player at NBC sec. gen. Tito Palma.

Lilipad ngayong umaga ang NBC-Spring Cooking Oil sa Malaysia para lumahok sa 2007 Penang Chief Minister Cup-Asian basketball invitational simula bukas.

Ang mga Pilipino na suportado ni Spring team owner Nathaniel “Tac” Padilla at outfitted ng Champion Sportswear, ay masasabak laban sa national teams ng Thailand, India, Singapore at Malaysia , national youth squad ng Iran, Tianjin ng China Basketball League at Indonesia Basketball League titlist Satria Muda.

Ang torneo na host ang Penang Basketball Association (PBA) ay matatapos sa Oktubre 27. Nakataya rito ang mga trophy at cash na premyo.

Mismong si PBA president Doji Khoon Yeong ang personal na nag-imbita sa NBC at kay Padilla.

Ang dating national coach Boysie Zamar ang mangangasiwa sa NBC-Spring squad at tutulungan ni Efren “Yong” Garcia.

Ang NBC-Spring team ay bubuuin nina Marlon Kalaw, Mar Reyes, Dondon Villamin, Ariel de Castro, Jeff Tajonera, Nani Epondulan at ex-pros Niño Marquez, Marlon Legaspi, EJ Feihl, Nelson Asaytono at Danny Capobres.

“The best teams in Southeast Asia will be playing but I expect the boys to put up a good fight,” sabi Padilla at nagpahayag siya na sana ay palarin ang mga player sa bisperas ng kanilang pag-alis.

Marami sa mga team ang gagamitin ang torneo bilang bahagi ng kanilang paghahanda para sa Southeast Asian Games sa Disyembre.

“I hope the team will do well and give joy to the Filipino OFWs in Malaysia,” sabi ni NBC executive vice president at Tagaytay Mayor Bambol Tolentino.
