Purefoods was rumored to be in hot pursuit of ex-Green Archer Ryan Arana... when that didn't happen, they trained their sights on crack amateur hotshot Reed Friar Juntilla who went undrafted... alas, the Juntilla experiment didn't push thru and the team was left searching for another defensive-minded wing who can also score... in came Larong... Larong was drafted 16th overall by Alaska, but was released by the Aces as they had too many guards already... Larong is an excellent perimeter defender... like Arana, he is gutsinees-personified and will not back down from any challenge... when given the green light, he can also score and loves to shoot from the perimeter... he is not the most accurate shooter there is but makes it when the game is on the line... the Purefoods coaching must be terribly impressed... they gave him a two-year contract.
