Vincent "Chot" Reyes

Chot ReyesHe’s probably not only the best coach in the country right now, he’s also the most colorful… wears flashy and colorful summer shirts during the games that has become his signature… very Imaginative and creative coach… brother Gilbert was a crack guard who played in the PBA for Pepsi… before his appointment to the San Miguel head coaching position, was the RP national team coach… his first pro head coaching experience was with the Coney Island Ice Cream Stars (now known as Purefoods TJ Giants) in 1993... before that, he was the assistant coach to Tim Cone at Alaska… led that team to an All-Filipino crown, creating history in the process by being the youngest coach to win a championship in his first try… 3-time Coach of the Year awardee… spent 3 seasons with the Ayala franchise before he signed with the Sta. Lucia Realtors in 1997… spent only one season there and left the team in 1998 to join the rival league MBA… chief assistant to Tim Cone in the Philippine Centennial Team that went copped the bronze in the 1998 Asian Games… in 2000, Reyes joined the Pop Cola Panthers, spending two seasons there before the team was sold to SMC… in 2002, with the team renamed as the Coca Cola Tigers, Chot led the team to the 2002 PBA All-Filipino title, again creating history by being the first rookie team to win a championship in its maiden season… in 2003, he led Coke to three successive Finals appearances, winning the Reinforced Conference.
