Finally, the younger de Ocampo has emerged… named by head coach Chot Reyes to the RP national team after an excellent showing for the past two conferences for the Express… drafted 4th overall in the 2004 PBA Draft by the Express just below Rich Alvarez, James Yap and Mark Pingris… he’s described as a big with a great footwork… can play on the outside and on the inside… his 37.7 percent clip from beyond the 3-point line was the best among local big men… led the team in scoring with 13.3 average in the 2006-07 season, starting in 37 of the team’s 51 games… played varsity ball for St. Francis, a perennial title contender in the NCRAA alongside brother Yancy de Ocampo and Ervin Sotto.
