Previously played only the small forward spot until coach Chot Reyes made him realize he could play all frontcourt spots… at 6’8”, he’s pretty long… he’s tentacle-like arms and great timing are the causes of several rejections and intimidations inside the lane… 2003 Most Improved Player… Drafted 2nd overall in the 2002 PBA Draft by Coca Cola just behind Yancy de Ocampo… prior to his PBA stint, was a fixture for San Juan Knights in the defunct MBA… Coppin State standout was traded to Ginebra in 2006 as part of the three-team deal involving Rudy Hatfield and Billy Mamaril.
