Full name is Anthony Jay Washington but likes to be called “Jay”… Experts were ready to call him the next draft bust until a strong showing last season quickly erased that label… “J-Wash” was picked 1st overall in the 2005 PBA Draft by Air21 who figured he would a nice bait for a promising young player… TNT bit the bullet and offered the Express’ prodigal son Yancy de Ocampo… in what would have been a super rookie season in 2005, Jay would be out of action, hampered by a shoulder injury that limited him to just 18 games… no question he has talent - can jump out of the gym, athletic, play on the perimeter or work on the interior… but sometimes just simply vanishes, like he’s not there when he’s there, get what I mean? Oh well.
