Welcoat pulled a surprise over everybody by enlisting forgotten pro Estong Ballesteros who last saw action with Wang's Ballclub in the MBL early in the year... Ballesteros was once upon a time one of the amateur rank's hottest basketball prospect... he has a nice perimeter shot and can bang inside as well... he was explosive and score against anybody... right now, it remains to be seen if he still has it... part of the 4-peat champs UST Growling Tigers (1993-96)... drafted 4th overall by Shell in the 1997 PBA Draft after Andy Seigle, Nic Belasco and Jason Webb... took his act in the defunct MBA where he starred for the Pangasinan Presidents... he returned to the PBA and played for Coca Cola and Ginebra... In 2005, just before Shell announced that they were going to fold up, he was traded by Ginebra along with Banjo Calpito to Shell for Kalani Ferreria and Ervin Sotto.
